This rebuild has been anything but simple and smooth! From parts not ordered by me, to parts not shipped, to wrong parts shipped, to new problems and finally a broken head stud last night when torqueing it down - it has taken every ounce of my patience not to take a flamethrower to it!

Not a shop in Minny has the head stud - and FUR offered to drive to the cities and back if anyone had one just to save me a few hours of drivin!

Thanks Rob!

Benoy calls me up last night around 11 to see how the re-build was going - I told him the bad news. He called me back in 5 mins and asked for the dimensions of the stud - he was at work and had one machined for me and will be on his way up here shortly. We are going to fix the damage to his sled (from my tag) and then work on mine!

Thanks Mike!

Lastly - Jim, A Canadian from TY that goes by the name Lakercr (who builds a lot of high performance 4-strokes) has been helping me with valve lash to tips on the rebuild process to make it easier - also what setups to run for my exact application and anything else I can think of. I didn't know him and aksed him one question by PM last week and he has taken a lot of time to help me. If anyone else on here needs to do anything with the 4-stroker - he's the one to talk to.

Thanks Jim!
Recently I was asked to play in a golf tournament.

At first I said, "Naw, I haven't been playing that well."

Then they said to me, "Come on, it's for handicapped and blind kids."

Then I thought...

Good ta hear KennyG.Lacy, I would replace all the head studs now if I was you, gonna be hard ta draw tru tork readings, let alone hold 'em once you calcatate your octane ta boost ratio dealy again. In other words, ya mighta stretched em.
A picture is worth a thousand words.

Ken, after you get the thing together, maybe you should in-roll in a Tech School...Motorcycle Tech..Institute to name one.

That way next time it takes a chit you can be cert. to work on it...which sounds about what it takes to be-able to work on it.

Ken, everyone I met at the Trash ride was first class peoples, It doesn't surprise me theat everyone is steppin up to help out. Thanks again for letting me take the TURDO for a brap. Defineatly the fastest I have ever gone on a sled.

Trial and error, When you get it dialed in, ain't much gonna even be close. First class people, anyone who didn't make the Tee-shirter missed out largecoreareastyle. Can't wait till next year, if im still in the sport.
