Before you boneheads start to try to get me to change my mind, I won't. I can't afford any of the Chevy vehicles (And, other than the Avalanche, I don't like their boxy shapes.) And Freddy, don't even mention Dodge... after I lemon lawed my Charger and got Boned on the Intrepid, I swore to God I would never own another Dodge. Nothing against your employer, just my personal thing. That's one vow I won't break..(Might consider Chrysler though) Anyway, lease is up in 6 months and I either buy my cute little Ranger FX4 or lease something new. :B

I've been looking at the Edge. I really want something with a real back seat so I can actually TAKE people with me. Looking at the NHTSA board, you can see the complaints people have brought up about the Edge. Most of it is Windshield glare. Now, I'm presuming if you get a darker colored dash this isn't an issue.

Anyone of you boneheads work at a Ford Dealership that can give me some inside info? Any other complaints that I haven't heard about that I should think about before I really get to looking at these? I haven't worked for Ford for 14 years and most of the people I worked with have moved on.

My brother did that in the old Impala he refurbed for an after high school project back in 1976. Actually it was longer than shag -- more like blue Sasquatch fur. HA!

Seriously though, has anyone heard of any other complaints? The one's I like are Pewter or a darker silver, so they have the darker interior... I plan on test driving one and will make sure to watch out for the glare while doing that. Any other issues?

Awesome vehicle at a great price. BMW and Lexus quality for alot less money. Alot of cars are plagued with this glare issue because of heavy raked windshield to achive aerodynamics and gas mileage. This is an easy fix with a dash pad. Don't let that stop you from buying a vehicle you really like.

My original "want" was an Infinity FX35 (?) but I can't bring myself to do foreign and I can't afford it if I wanted to. This is a VERY cute alternative.

Also found a cute Colorado 4x4 crew cab for about 4 grand less than this. GAWD I like supplier discounts. :B Wish Ranger had a crew cab. I've had two Rangers in the past 10 years. Great trucks.

Got this for my wife a few months back, nothing but smiles so far. Hopefully fuel mileage will come up a bit more.
