The Cat chassis is too much chassis for that motor Ice. Now we know why yam hadn't updated its own chassis since 03. The motors made them old piles feel fast to their owners...the poor ba$tards...

It's an inferior jap motor, could be anything.....They're proven too weak and unreliable to compete in terrain races, they're too lathargic and prone to break in endurance races, they're too weak, heavy and unable to hold up in scross events....now we see they're too shitty to hold up under slow assed trail puttin.........If I assume the tech eliminated somethin eff'ed in the motor creating more heat then the cool system can handle, it should narrow it to air anomaly, thermo(s), sensors, dead short, puter, coolers, rider error.......using LT's making more than one comment on exhausted prestone odor on rides prior to your buddy runnin it 3 hrs down the middle of a gravel track after which you jumped on it and went for a speedo run. Add you claimed odor didn't come from overflow nor was it glycol level noticably low, I'm going with you finally found the weak spot on your defected jap hgasket...could be some other cheap jap component failed tho, who knows

Rest a the world knew of the loose hose clamp under the motor that the inbred northern MN a sotans couldn't get to with the AM shakes....so now you are caught up too.... 3 years later....Cat needs to head hunt for some quality minded Mexicans.

Going to the northern lower Monday am till Wed. nite. Prolly ride the eastern U.P. on one of those days. Was going across the U.P. to the Kewe next week but got delayed until the week after. 2 guys I ride with have never been to CH so am going to try and get that trip in the week of the 15th. I leave weekends open for race spectating.
