Dealer has ZR9

Saw it today. Same as the 800. Lower A-arms are different though. They are the ones off from the sno pro. They had it priced at $7570. At least they changed the dash sticker to something other than that ugly hexigonal sticker!

I also saw one on a stand at one of our local dealers in Western NY this afternoon..does look very similar to an 800..didn't have any carbides on the skis but since we don't have any snow it doesn't really matter....didn't see any price on it and the dealer was busy with another guy probably buying a personal watercraft or lawnmower...2 guys were outside on their motorcycles they had just driven to the dealership....mid 50's here today....we need a miracle in the weather department...

Looked at one at my Dealer last night. It's probably the best all-green machine I've ever seen. As you already know, I've never owned a green Cat.

The Dealer I know brought me and another guy out to his trailer where he had another one sitting that they used for testing on a lake just North of the Twin Cities (Big Lake, MN).

He started it up because I wanted to hear it, so I could see how much it vibrates with those "Dinty Moore stew" can size pistons in it. Well, actually it vibrated less than I thought! It sounds just like the 800's with that low growl popping sound. Not much different in sound at all.

Here's the scoop...he told me what happened on the lake, other than every soul on the lake wanting to ride it. It did 106mph (170.9km/h) in 1000ft. (304.8m). He took the coupled suspension out of it to show off with it. Results...he almost flipped it completely backwards! It wheelies terribly without the couple blocks, since it has so much torque.

Overall, it's a sled that got you interested, with a price tag about the same as what my ZR800EFI CC was. Looks a lot better in person.

Yeah I had my blocks out of the XC at Houghton Lake for drag racing, but boy did I have to be careful. As soon as I would punch it and it actually hooked up it would take me over as well.

It was a 660' track 1000' shutdown, but you ran at the radar so it looked like it did'nt pick you up after about 600'. You could see your top mph before you passed the radar

Thanks toydoc!

Looking at the average runs, the 900 really isn't faster than my ZR800! At 660' anyway.

I wouldn't want to challenge one at 1000', or 1/4 mile. It would be interesting though.

It's about the same or 1 mph faster and about 3 slower than the T-cat from what I seen that day.
The mph we ran:
I/S 600
96 ZR 580 : 88 mph
I/S 800
93 Vmax 750 : 92 mph
I/S 1000
96 ZRT 900 : 98 mph
93 Tcat 1000: 99 mph
93 Tcat 1000: 101 mph
OPEN
Polaris 1000 : 112 mph

Tim Hutchinson came late in the day and ran 124 mph with his laydown 1000cc.
