This was not some wacko that got killed. It was a beginner. It was a accident as far as the story says. Sad very sad.
Beginner Snowmobiler Becomes Ninth Fatality
(WABI) A Massachusetts woman taking her first-ever snowmobile ride died in an accident in Rangely Tuesday afternoon.
35-year-old Tracy Atwood was riding around a curve on a connector trail when one of her sled's skis apparently got caught on the trail edge. She was thrown into a stand of maple saplings.
Atwood was the last in line among her riding companions, who turned around when they noticed she was no longer with them.
Atwood lost consciousness after a short time, and rescue workers were unable to revive her. She becomes the ninth person to die in a snowmobile accident in Maine this winter
