How to get Race Sled?

Postby md_buckle » March 25th, 2004, 7:34 am

I do a lot of jumping and extremly agressive riding and I am looking to get my hands on a 2005 Polaris Race sled. How do I go about doing this? How difficult is it to get my hands on one?

How to get Race Sled?

Well.. i would say just the opposite?? You are planning on racing right? If not the 2005 Pro X is not the way to go. But if it you're first year i wouldn't go with the '05. Buy a used '04 and see if you like it or not. It's completely different from you're average ditch riding. The thing is with the 05'you might be able to get one through you're dealer.. But you better have you're hands on a nice chunk of cash. Those 440's run about 8500 with out discount and if you have never raced chances are you won't get sponsored.

good luck....rumour has it 05 polaris race sleds are going to be tough to get...having no race experience is prolly gonna give you next to no chance....id buy up a cheap 03 pro-x and be happy. 04s would be ok, if your willing to ride on 5 gallons at a time. No big tank is being offered do to the dramatic steering change for them in 04...Not trying to be harsh or mean, just givin ya the facts...

How to get Race Sled?

Well actually, i'm not planning on racing at all. I am a team rider for Fat Mountain Films and do some pretty sick airs and freestyle. I have a 2003 Pro-x 600 but that thing is pounded. I need the durability of a race sled in order for it to survive. I will have a talk to my dealer. If all else fails, they do have a 2004 Pro-XR 800 which I could get, but I want the Fusion 400 Racer.
