Why not have the race department re-allocate your sleds so a racer that didnt get on the program can have the chance to get one on their own merit?

The letters are out. I got mine, the thick envelope, on the 27th. I made it this year on the first try.

I made it last year off of the waiting list. If someone didnt have their sleds re-allocated, then I wouldnt have been able to get a sled.

Some people like to make money on the sleds they apply for. I agree- let someone off the waiting list get a chance. I got my letter last week I think. Now I just gotta sell my old sled...

Hey "thefastguy" I had this same conversation with someone on this board last year in regards to selling off a sled they don't even have yet. There's allot of kids and adults, that are hoping to open the letter and find good news. For the ones that didn't make the cut, stuff like you're posting is very insulting. I also noticed you don't put your real name on your profile. Nervous the wrong person is going to find out you're selling the sled? Sorry, don't mean to be rude, but I saw the disappointment on my son's face when he didn't get onto the race program a couple of year's ago.

For all of you who don't know...

thats how a lot of the factory racers make there money, the factory gives them race sleds, it's there's to do with what they like. Give it up! Yeesh! If he can sell it, more power to him.

I'd have to agree with everyone who said get it back on the program. Being denied sleds sucks. I think the factories need to give their heads a shake if this is how they support their riders. Do SKi-doo and Cat factories/sponsored riders do this too? Polaris from what I've seen does it the most, is it different in other areas? What I mean is giving dealer's these sleds and denying people getting on the program and such. Maybe they made a ton of sleds and filled all of the legit orders this year, but I know when I worked at a Polaris dealership I was denied a sled on the program, even when I had our area rep sign my application. I had a year of Sport class snocross racing under my belt and was moving to Semi-Pro. I don't get their thinking. I have raced Cat and Ski-doo since then and had no trouble getting on their programs, placed in the top three numerous times in Semi-Pro and Pro in Manitoba snocross. If they hadn't denied me a sled that year, whether it being from their poor management skills or people accepting sleds that they shouldn't have, I may have done it on a Polaris..their loss I suppose. The other brands treated me very well and I'm sticking with them. MY name is in MY Profile.
