The International Watercross Association would like to invite you all to the 31st annual World Championship Watercross in Grantsburg, WI, July 20-22. Racers from all across the United States and Canada make the yearly trek to Grantsburg, each one hoping to bring home a World Championship Trophy.

The Grantsburg Watercross is the birthplace of the sport of Snowmobile Watercross racing and is considered "The Grandaddy of Them All". We've come a long way since the 1st event here in 1977. In the beginning, the challenge was to see who could cross the 300 foot stretch of water from the island to the opposite shore. Now, we see highly modified machines traveling at speeds up to 80 MPH competing in drags and ovals, culminating in an 8-lap Pro Open feature race to crown the next World Champion.

The racing this year will be some of the most competitive we have seen with several former World Champions returning to vie for the 2007 World Championship. Former winners Howie Steenberg, Joey Strub, Andy Busse, Jeff Fischer and 3-time World Champion Dale Lindbeck will be competing with other top Pro drivers for the Title.

The World Championship Watercross is truly a spectacular event. The IWA would like to thank the Grantsburg Hockey Association for all their hard work keeping this great summer tradition going. Have a fun and safe weekend. We hope you enjoy "The Fastest Show on H2O"! If you are interested in Snowmobile Watercross Racing, check out our website at
