Ya I have to sent a congrats out to PJ. That is an enormous accomplishment for both him and Arctic Cat. Now it would be nice to see Arctic put a little factory support into ovals!

A star is born! Yes the rookie P.J. held off Chris Hortness and Terry Wahl until the last lap when both Hortness and Wahl stuffed it into turn one handing second place to last years winner Jeremy Johnston. Philip Moulton lead it early but was chased down by both Hortness and P.J. The cat went into the lead midway through the race and was a sea-saw battle with Hortness taking the low line and P.J taking the high line Terry muscled himself into striking range with about 6 laps to go but followed Hortness into the bales on the last lap. Jeff Ludwig was just behind Jeremy and was handed third place and Awsome Phil grabbed 4th. Jacques Villeneuve was wicked fast and rocketed out of the hole but a mishap in the shakedown laps in turn one knocked the wind out of him and his chance for a 4th world championship.
Two awful accidents occured ,one on the oval and one on the snocross. Both drivers were seriously hurt and I hope they recover quickly!

skunk he's got the same chassis underhim that won there last march. John Hooper, Craig Moulton and I have built a new chassis for this season and we just finished it Sunday before Eagle River. Of coarse we wanted 1st like anyone, but 4th is not a bad finish for a team with a new chassis, 15 - 20 test laps and then load it up to go to Wisconsin. We had a short time frame to build this sled and got it done. Now just a few more laps of testing and we should be opening eyes with this Hooper Cat. We also have to thank PJ and the country cat team for helping us with a few missing numbers when we were in the process of building this new chassis. Congrates PJ, you have done what some try all their racing career to do. I'm glad it was one of the two Hooper chassis and Hooper race engines that accomplished it this year. Thanks again Patrick Mullins #29NE wrench
