I don't know if this will help but, talk to racer earlier this week ice will not be a problem. He planned on starting to qualify on Monday the 28th.

Maxi,
There better be a race 'cause were going! LOL

I talked to Steve Landon last week and he says it's a go. We are leaving about 1:00am sat and taking 1 show sled for the parade lap (1973 Starfire, broken hood and all). Are you going?
Hope to see you there.

Blake is on the way to the Soo right now to cover the race but, like you Maxi, I couldn't wait to get some information, so I checked out the Soo's web site (http://www.I-500.com).

Right now, Troy Dewald's got the top qualifying run of 94.92 mph which, oddly, is just .06 mph slower than his pole position run from last year (94.98). Cadarette/Polaris teammates Russ Chartrand and Troy Pierce are second and third in qualifying, followed by Jamie Vincent (Pol), Bryan Dyrdahl (Cat), Ivan Hansen (Cat), Cory Furkey (Pol), John Lynch (Pol) and Ray Kowalski (Yam). The top Doo is Dan Nelson in 28th.

Check back for updates.
