TUG HILL REPORT #3

Postby zr800newyork » March 22nd, 2002, 3:15 am

3/22 with just over 3000 views since I started doing this I've started a new #3 thread easier to get to....It's noon Friday the main corridors are ALL GROOMED - yes read it again...all groomed. Gordon at Flat Rock groomed over 7 hrs quitting at 6:30 am and Club Timberview circuit is done. Southern region of the hill has as good a riding as all year- just got that straight off the phone from Rochester riders at the Crofoot Hill Inn. The riders said "down to Marty's (Houseville), north, plummer, smith, all the way to himarket, rr bed ALL DONE...Weather Channel shows lake effect a hour or two away from the hill but coming across now...Syracuse reports snow now..Temp is 18 degrees and nothing will get past 30 Sat or Sun. "Lower south Jefferson and south of Lowville will receive 6-12 inches today and another 6" tonight" is the exact report. Our local school in Turin released students at noon..What do ya think?????? See you on the hill I'm out of here.

TUG HILL REPORT #3

Postby ski-doo-4-me » March 23rd, 2002, 12:13 pm

Just got back from the hill. Rode in whiteout conditions! Lot of traffic too. This week should keep us all riding for at least a couple more weeks. Drove out of the area in 4 wheel drive at 25 mph through drifts. It will probably take the groomers till early in the week to catch up with all this snow.

3-24 Sunday brings clear skies and low 30's- chance of a dusting on top of the over 20" received. Flat Track groomed out of C-ville and Timbererview and Flat Rock continue...Nice group of trashers rode yesterday and will meet at noon today for more fun..

TUG HILL REPORT #3

Postby zr800newyork » March 24th, 2002, 11:31 am

3-24 8:30pm Just back from the "hill" perfect day- found best riding this year in fields and legal roads and went we found some grooming by Flat Rock and Club Timberview. Even Flat Track outa Constableville made a trip up Plummer and Smith to North .. For the ten "trashers" that rode we had a great time look for their comments on that board. 25 degrees now and Mon-Tues low 30's Wed in near 40-45 but may change...Tues some snow? We'll see.

3/26 Looked over the trails around Copenhagen not good esp. the fields. Barnes Cornors sorry no info, I rode Brantingham woods and out to "confusion flats" BEST EVER..,mother nature melt down did the grooming. Today Tues. low 30's on the hill and 100% ice and sleet coming that will hold the trail as is. Same report on grooming here southern Tug Hill. SNOW SHOWERS forecast for Fri/Sat imagine that !!! Let you know how it materializes...2:30 pm just rec 20 mins. of lake effect and now 34 degree and drizzling mixed sleet. School from Boonville to north of Watertown closing early and cancelling activities good. heheheheheh
