Just came from the Curtis area last night.....Good to excellent conditions on the weekend will probably be Perfect conditions through the week and towards next weekend. Heading south towards Manistique got rough with some wiped out corners, nothing too horrible though. South of Germfask trail were OK, got worse towards Gould City, but still were groomed and rideable. Out towards Newberry east to the Soo was awesome. North towards Grand Marais there was spots that you couldn't get off the trail because you stood a big chance of getting stuck. Over towards Melstrand the snow was nearly 4' deep and kinda diminished by the time you hit the bear trap down to 30" or so. From the bear trap to Shingleton was rough, but once south the haywire grade towards Jack Pine was like a superhighway at times, a bit rough inbetween groomings. The Manistique trail heading west towards the Nahma grade was groomed with little base, got bare in the tight spots. Wetmore, Munising, Chrismas all in good shape if ya don't mind a few bumps from heavy traffic. You get the Idea........The curtis area is in very good shape.....
