head & tail lights

How many of you guys are ridding around with very dim head & tail lights. Last night my buddy came up on a old merc? with no tail light and a head light that put out as much light as a flash light. The rider of the old sled was doing 20mph on a smooth trail. I was following my buddy and could not figure out what he was slowing up for untill I was right next to him. We were riding at 50mph. It could have been a bad deal if someone was riding faster or the weather was bad.
