super sonic

hey i was wondering do any of u have a bombardier super sonic, i have one that i pulled froma barn any info, or specs would be great thanks.

I am not to sure i think it is a 79-81 like one of them i think 79 though and i was wondering what years they were made, what cc, mixed gas, just any info that could help me sell it. if it was a moto ski.

The Super Sonic was a Moto Ski, essentially the same thing as the Ski Doo. Different colors, and a different model number. Depending on the year, it may be oil injected. If it is, it will have the oil pump mounted on the recoil and the hoses will run over to the intake. Even if it isn't oil injected it will have an oil bottle and you will need to keep oil in it as it lubricates the rotary valve gear. To determine the year, look at the date of manufacture. The model year will be one year later. (build date of 9-80, it would be an 81)

Wow i rly luv yours, mice was orange but previous owner painted it black but hood is in mint condition is their a more newer model becuase mine has a light like 79 or sumthin. thanks for the info it is great.

Moto Ski Super sonic is a 340 - (354) liquid cooled rotax built as you indicated from 79-81, it's the moto ski equivalent of the blizzard 7500. 1979 is the nicest in my view, last year of the RV chassis. Plenty of pics available on the net to lock down your year, try the brochures on David's vintage snowmobile page.

hey could u give me some sites so i could look at pics of them thanks. abnd i got this old sled running last night the super sonic a buddy came over and we just checked for spark held the throttle and ti started up for a lil bit it need scarbs to run rly good. so i am happy now that it does run. i have some pics i will post tommorow.

Hey was lookin at that davids vitage sled brochure thanks alot it helped it is a 1980 moto-ski super sonic. i was lookin at the 79, and the 81 and that 80 just looked the same i will post the number so i can check fo sure later on.

Check on the side of the tunnel near the rear of the machine. There should be a metal plate with the manufacture date on it.

Yes i found the date of manufacture it says december 1979 so add a year it would be an 80.
