one cylinder fouling???

Postby #20fan » January 2nd, 2006, 9:12 am

My 86 indy trail is now flooding out my r.h. cyl. it's fine at idle and for short runs but when i run for any length of time (even 2-3 miles) it loads up that cyl and bogs to the point that the only way to get it home is to pull the air box. (i know bad idea but its the only way to get her to run) HELP!!!

Could be that the filter inside your gas tank is plugged up and inconsistantly sucking fuel, causing one side to get way more fuel then it needs

Check the intake rubber boot for an air leak(crack).
