Advice from REVHeads and techies

Looking for some advice, we own a 2000 Polaris Edge XCSP 600, a 2002 Ski-Doo 700 Adrenaline, and are about to buy a 2003 REV 600 HO. We are buying the Rev because it is a really great deal PERIOD. Runs good looks good, lots of extras, and newer that what we have. But I'm hearing about engines blowing up, and DOO not having parts to send to dealers for the repairs. I'm talking engines, bearings, cranks, ect..
What's the general opinion on the REV? One of our sleds will have to go, which one? I love my Polaris, but it is the oldest w/the least add-ons. I am just apprehensive about the REV and appreciate the input.

SELL THE SKI-DOO 700,AND AS FAR AS THE REV I GOT TO RIDE ONE AND THE RIDE WAS GOOD BUT THE MOTOR LACKS RELIABILTY. MY FREIND HAS A 800 WITH 1500 MILES AND THE CRANK SEAL WENT WHICH ALLOWED IT TO SUCK AIR AND BANG GOES THE PISTON SO I WOULDNT BUY A REV BUT I WOULD BUY A NEWER EDGE THEY ARE PROVEN TO BE RELIABLE AND ARE REALY CHEAP NOW IF YOU GET AN 03 OR 04 THEY HAVE (PERC) ELETRIC REVERSE.LOOK AROUND BEFORE YOU BUY SOMETHING THAT YOU WILL REGRET. PS IAM NOT BASHING SKIDOO JUST TELLING YOU MY 2 CENTS

no problems with mine... yet, have heard of lots of guys having problems and at yorkton there is supposedly 26 revs sitting there with back ordered parts

Indy, I love my Rev and I have over 2k miles on it an no probs. I did blow it up myself at 1700 miles and put in new parts but that was my fault. As far as the ride goes, it takes a few mins to get used to but it is the best ride out there as far as I'm concerned and yes I have riden the f7 and polaris. You'll love it!

I heard that the 600 Rev didn't have the same problems as the 800....
All of the Sleds you listed are great sleds. One thing that you might want to consider is service. With two Ski-doo's, you would only have to go to one place for consumables/parts etc. Unless of course, the dealer is selling Pols as well as Skids. But other than that, I would sell the one that is less reliable/more miles or beat up.

Now that I think about it...... I would just pass on the REV and keep what you have. LOL Must be a Sweet Deal.

03 Rev 600 HO had/has ring issues - if you want to find out more - go to www.dootalk.com and search 600 rings - you'll find plenty out about it.

Well its ours now, and we'll check it out next weekend. We will be in search of snow as our is completely gone. It has only 38 miles on it, was the spring check sled so it is the X package with reverse, ele. start, something about a special option track, IDK my husband is excited about it......me I bleed polaris, so his MXZ 700 will go, or who knows maybe this rev will next fall. Hopefully the "you get what u pay for" won't hold true w/ this sled. Thanks!

Just out of Curiosity...Now that you bought it..... What was the price? Always like a good buy story. Congrats on the Rev!!
