ISR Rules meeting

No dates selected yet. I will keep you posted. Most years drag is first, then Sx and oval, followed by 120's. there will be a Manufacturers meeting in March that will need to be done first. I expect the dates will be set after that.

ISR Rules meeting

Postby snowman39 » February 27th, 2013, 11:30 am

Jerry,

I am wondering if the Champ rules are still frozen or are they up for Review, The reason i am asking is Specific to the rule regarding Chassis weight only, In most other forms of motorsports it is combined weight, Driver and Vehicle. There are some good size drivers as well as some smaller ones, We did some test two weeks ago, Same sled two different drivers, One 40lbs lighter than the other 300 RPM difference, Plus the acceleration was better on the smaller driver. I do know this has been a hot topic in the past, I am just curious if it will be up for review this year.

Regards

Guy, that topic was thoroughly thrashed on several occasions prior to the last rule freeze. I'm sure it will be re-visited again once the rules are open for discussion again as well

Eagle River is the only place that the combined weight really comes into effect. I agree that it sucks for the bigger guys, but between Dustin, Brandon and Joel, (probly the 3 biggest guys out there) they have won just about everywhere else. If you add a combined weight, you screw all the smaller guys at every other track out there.

I respectfully disagree!
physics are the same where ever you may be.
and 7 pounds =1 hp.on acceleration no matter who, how, or what you are.
correct me if I am wrong, ( I usually am).
