JAN. 2003-and 2004 Tug Hill Cruisin Results- Update Monday 3

We're setting the date as January 8-12 for our TUG HILL annual. Let's avoid tearly December it's sometimes unpredictable. Stay away from Christmas and New Years season. Avoid the crowd onMartin Luther Kings three day weekend. Watch out for Super Bowl. Duck Valentines day. Presidents day weekend is usually crowded. As a back up for bad weather we could save the 18 or 25th...we had 298 inches this past season but rain is not unheard of or a Jan. thaw ????????

This is a good site for ideas and to toss around plans, without getting in the way of "trashin" topics. I'll mention this location on the other forums.

I have found a group rate at The Edge, others may find a place on the I-81 side. I see this as more than 10-20 people. We'll have daily schedules for meeting, eating, riding, and late night action. Everyone can pick and choose what involvement/participation level they prefer. See

Do you know anyone who has stayed at The Edge yet? We usually stay at couple of places in Tug Hill, but are getting somewhat bored of seeing the same trails. My concern with The Edge is accesibility if snow conditions are weak. I haven't seen as much as there is, but hopefully with more snow we can get to some new areas. I hope so..its getting tough to justify leaving at 5pm, driving 5hours riding till 3am and then doing a brkfst run and driving 5 hours home, Hopefully the season will be better so we don't get so bored..thanks!
p.s Thanks again for your trail condition reports.. they are excellent. (and do u know why all the trail cams dont work?)

The wife and I stayed at the Edge. It is a very nice place and nice people. You are right about riding from the hotel when snow is thin, but a 8 min. trailer ride and you are ready to go. There is plenty of trails a local like TS can take you on. He is a good guy to meet. Thanks for all your help this past winter TS.

Thanks for the input.. what where the prices like? My wife and have stayed at a variety of places up on Tug Hill..one is a bit pricey, but nice accomodations..The other was pretty neat..not as new, but kinda neat and real good people.

Hey Ts Dont know if having the ride on a weekend is such a great idea. If the winter sucks like it did this past year the weekend will be jammed with people riding. I know its better for everybody cause its on the weekend and maybe we can get more people there but i think having it during the week would be better. Less traffic and better trails. Just my opinion.

watercross went on until 7pm Sunday- BEAUTIFUL DAY
