Strong Smelling exhaust

The exhaust in my Ski-doo 98 700 tripple smells really strong as if it isnt burning all of the oil. What could be causing this??

It won't burn all the oil.......you might need to turn the oil pump down a bit.

Have your dealer do it if you have not done it before.

wickie....your owners manual should have the factory specs and show how to measure the setting based off a measurement taken from the oil pump cable.

Are you using the Doo synthetic oil? That stuff is nasty and has a strong smell.

my dealer has oil that smeels like strawberries. yum
