Whats the fastest youv'e been on a sled?

I agree with speednut that you can crank out some unbelievable speeds from these machines with the proper work. Having said that, as a Cat owner/rider for over 30 years there is no way in HELL that that Cougar is stock!! Speedo numbers, NOT RADAR, stock machines: 1986 El Tigre 6000 530cc about 95, 1987 Pantera 440 L/Q only does 90 on a good day, 2000 ZR & 2001 ZL 600's do just over the 100 mark. I rode with many of the Cougar 500 F/C's in their earlier days and they couldn't get out of their own way in stock form. So let's be realistic, if you got a Cougar 440 over 100mph, IT AIN'T STOCK!!

my speedo on my 2003 F7 said i was doing around 120 mph which probally equals out to around 110 mph true speed..its not too fast on top end..but getting there is a ride...

119mph on 660'run w/ a SRX back in the day... when it was set up for that. Now it's clutched & piped etc... for doing wheelies from tree to tree on N.Wi trail systems, not the lake(7,600m now). It will see all of 107mph+ across a perfect lake now a days. Flat corners like she is on rails.

I got a bone stock Yamaha 120cc Sno-Scoot to go well over 22 MPH in the pits of Beausejour. Scariest ride of my whole life, seem to take for ever to get to the other end of the pits.

Then this one time at band camp.......

Dang Krispy Kreme, I should have raced you on my neighbor's slightly modified Kitty Cat! With a full idler wheel kit, I swear I got from
0-8 MPH in no more than 25 seconds! LOL!

we had my dads v max radared and the speedo is off about 11.5 mphso i guess it only went 114.5...the v max's are a lot faster than a lot of you schitty kitty and pigolaris riders think. im not even going to bother to rip in ski doo cause i ride one and man do i love it!

I have a '99 Arctic Cat ZL440 all stock, did 97mph on hard pack.
I can see 85-90 no prob. ON A 440.........

108 mph on GPS , while riding on a closed road last winter, on my 96 xcr 600 with triple pipes (now just a hunk of aluminum from non-snowmobling related accident)

Pretty sick top speeds...

When the Bear Cat is in good shape, it'll do just a bit over 65mph on the speedo :D Told you it's fast !
