I've used them in the past. One thing to keep in mind, you would want something that allows you to remove your hand out of them quick for any reason-signaling for oncoming sleds, turns, etc.

I've found that with good gloves or mitts and the hand warmers that that is more safe.

They are great, I use them in very cold weather. Polaris makes them with a stiff plastic circle to make entry & exit easy. About $40.00 do it.

A women ended up in an ambulance, her sled trashed when her gauntlet came lose and slipped over the throttle. She couldn't get her hand out quick enough to hit the kill switch before the sled hit a tree. I never thought about that happening, But other people have heard of the same thing. I quess her gauntlets just weren't tight enough. This woman was lucky just some minor injuries. Said she'd never ride again tho.......

I'll vote for them. I went riding earlier this year and without gauntlets, riding would not have been possible. That was the only time I used them, but there good to have.

As for the lady that got her's stuck on the throttle, maybe we should have the Colorado football coach (Barrett) comment on that.

have you looked into handguards? they look better then the gauntlets, and they block the wind which is the only reason hands usually get cold.
