m-10 vs. edge

so what is the deal? there are so many with the m-10 i am riding one now and it is sucks i have never rode somthing so bucky in my life i would rather just have the old plain edge rail. my old mans extra 10 rides way better i dont no i guess that is my opion

Your spring preloads are key on the M10. 1/16" to 1/8" on the back shock makes a HUGE difference. I was forced into trying an M10. After 20 miles on a normal sled my back would be killing me...the M10 I have done 300-400 miles in a day with no problem.

wild47....1 word.....PUNCTUATION...It sounds like your suspension is not adjusted correctly. Your spring preload springs are probably set too stiff. Back the adjuster down a notch and check the valving on your shock. If you just left the factory setting and didn't adjust it for your weight, it will ,as any suspension will, buck like a wild mustang.

The m-10 is s~h~i~t~t~y its like taking away hosepower.A edge suspended 600 -vs-m-10 suspended 600 for example.You'd think there is a 800 hundred under the edge suspended 600.It would kill you in acceleration and be better for jumps.M-10 is for p~u~s~s~i~e~s and thats all i got to say about that.

Optimus you are wrong. I had a chance to hop on a M-10 equiped sled last year and it rode and handled way better than my 04 REV. In fact it belonged to a fellow poster on this board called M-10. He is way larger than myself but he recently(at that time) had the ace option installed so all it was to adjust to my weight was the touch of a thumb switch and let me tell you it was the best ride I ever experienced on a sled. You could pound the mogals like never before. Even with your azz firmly planted on the seat. If I had the $$$$ I would put one under my Rev in a heartbeat. The only drawback I can see abt a M-10 skid is the price. Other than that they rock!

Keep in mind also that the guys who so often say that the m-10 is junk or for pussies have more then likely never been in the saddle of a sled equiped with one.Had they rode a m-10 sled set up for them if their trail riders theyd never talk it down.Its simply the best suspension for trail riding.Another group of riders who dont like the m-10 is the snow cross racer want a be trail rider in which once again most have never ridddin one that was properly set up for the weights.
