Ski Doo Formula engine (497cc)

Hey, I havent been on in a long time but thought that i would take advantage of a great resource. I am looking for a 497 fan cooled twin for a 96` formula. If anybody knows were the heck i could find one it would be great. Thanks alot--

O.K. So nobody cares or knows, So can somebody tell me what other kinds of engines i could fit in that chasis. Would A 503 Fit? What else would?

503 should fit it came in both the f and s frame,youshouldn't need much mods but i haven't heard of a 497cc fan was this a liquid model at one time?

Hey thanks alot. Everybody I have talked to says they havent heard of this engine in a fan cooled set up. I have no clue, i havent even looked at it because it belongs to a friend of mine. I am certain though that it is a 497 and currently is fan cooled. Is it possible to convert an engine like this to air cooled?? ---MS

The 503 is the same engine 497cc

497 is the amount of CCs in the 503

There was no 503 or any fan cools in the F2000 chassis

The Formula SL from 95-99 had the 503/497 fan:)

The 494 was the LC in the SLS and MXZ/FZ/Formula 500s
