This is a stupid ? But how are you guys cleaning your valves? Are there any gaskets to replace? Thanks for any info. Ride safe

Wasn't being rude, Just looking for a simple answer. Before I attempt to clean them I just wanted some info on taking them apart.

I would look into running Blue Marble oil. www.nulubes.com. My 02 XCSP 800 valves constantly need cleaning. The method shown on the hardcore sight works well, it is time consuming.

I personally do not think oil makes much difference in how long the valves stay clean. It's just a regular maintenance item,after using TCW-3 for break-in and then some and switching to VES, I'd say they're about the same on cleaning intervals. Also, carb cleaner and a scotch brite pad may work on some, but I've found that it's easier to carefully use a razor blade clean the surfaces, just don't gouge the valve.

hey man i got a 2001 edge x 600 i am not going to go through evry step but look in your manual it tells u how to do it in there!!
