Does anyone know if ski-doo offered a 144 inch track for the 2003 mxz extreme. I know typically the long tracks are used for the summits but I'm thinking about buying one off the internet and the guy says it comes with a 144 and it makes me a little hesitant because I don't know if he knows what he is talking about. Obviously I don't either.

the 2003 mxzx only came with 121" tracks. the X pacage was only available in the rev chassis and i believe they came out with an 2003.5 summit rev that might have had that track. its probably a mountain kit.

thats what I thought. Do you know if the summit was offered with a orange hood and yellow body or was that just the mxz?

i'm pretty sure the mxzx was the only yellow and orange sled in 03. the 2003.5 summits were orange and black i think. better off to go with one not modified like that, but if you can see that it would be easy to take the kit out and not cost anything, go for it.

So I was going to buy this sled from a guy off ebay. When I went to bid on the mxz I couldn't because I had to be on a priority list or something. Basically I had to email him to put me on the list. As soon as I did this he pulled the machine off ebay and said he would sell it to me for 2800 on the side (ya, a 2003 mxz with only 34 miles). Of course this sounded to good to be true but I wanted it pretty bad. So he told me he was in Germany and I would have to send him a check through western union. Well I was just about to send him the money tomorow but I was reading on ebay (from another seller) that there are people the FBI are chasing that are ripping people off by doing what this guy almost did to me. Posting sleds on ebay, putting them on private auctions so the buyer has to email them to try and get on, then they pull the machine off ebay and try to tell them they'll sell it to them on the side when there was no sled in the first place. At least the sled they posted wasn't theirs. I don't know why ebay doesn't tell the rest of us about this. I would of got ripped out of 2800. Does anyone else know about this?

hey I persued the same bullsh*# except this guy was in seattle, wa selling 02 renegade 800 for 4000 and it included shipping, then some further conversations he states it comes with cover & two place trailer! I suggested Escrow.com for pymt but he suggested it would take two long to get his $ instead he wanted it transferred through E-Gold ( basically you turn cash into e-gold then I suppose at that point your done) I e-mailed this guy back and suggested C.O.D but have yet to hear from him!!! I've came across so much crap on ebay selling sleds its sad, too bad people cant be honest! Cod is the only way at least you know what your getting b-4 paying

Basically, if it sounds to good to be true then it is. When ever someone wants to do a deal outside of ebay that is a red flag. Good thing you didn't send the guy any money. I just found another guy on ebay selling a 2003 Artic Cat 900 for 3000. I would never buy a artic cat but I figured it was the same type of deal. So to screw with the guy I told him to put me on his pre approved list. And he emails me back with the same crap that he's from Germany and wants to do a deal on the side. So I'll mess with him for a while and make him think he'll get my money. I don't understand why ebay doesn't monitor these guys a little closer.

My son dealt with these crooks also on a Blazer he was selling. I told him it was to good to be true and he nearly got took. It even made the evenig news here. Anything that sounds to good to be true usually is.

I've reported many of these crooks to ebay. If it sounds to good to be true, it is. If it doesn't go through paypay, it can be bogus.

I like playing with these a$$es on e-bay. If they are on a pre-approved bidders list, that is the first indication of a scam.
