dual throttle - will installing one ruin warranty?

Postby nikie713 » February 12th, 2008, 6:21 am

As previously written.. i am surprising my husband with a new Yamaha Vector GT for valentines day. In past conversations, he has said that he would have throttles on both sides as his hand gets very tired in a days riding on his Polaris 700. Unfortuanatly, we do not have a Yamaha dealer close by so i was wondering if I purchased a dual throttle and had it installed by a friend ...who has rebuilt many many sleds... would this do anything to the year warranty that comes with the sled? I am trying to get as many bells and whistles taken care of for him before his first ride.

It will not affect warranty unless it causes the specific damage. They can't just deny a claim because the unit has aftermarket parts on it. They have to prove those parts caused the damage.
Recently I was asked to play in a golf tournament.

At first I said, "Naw, I haven't been playing that well."

Then they said to me, "Come on, it's for handicapped and blind kids."

Then I thought...

Chit, I could win this!

Leave the dual throttles to him to consider. Vectors pull easy.
