BR9ES or B9ES???

Makes no difference on performance, same plug basically. The "R" stands for resistor, meaning it won't interfere with any sort of unprotected radio type signal(like if u had that plug in a car and U had an unprotected radio signal, which is very unlikely though).

Ok, sno-pro, who has digital ignition systems ????
Do any stock sleds on the market have them????
And what would happen if he ran those plugs instead of (r) plugs????

BR9ES or B9ES???

Postby michahicks » December 13th, 2001, 4:29 am

It's said by the techy types that the RF (static)
created by non resistor type plugs COULD POTENTIALLY cause a digital ignition system to misfire. Don't know if anyone has actually documented this happening. The best reasons to run resistor type I can think of would be mainly for on board electronics (communication gear, GPS's come to mind)and people trying to watch TV or listen to their radios in homes near where you are running your sled. There is no performance difference between the 2 types. Most people recommend the R types because they are designed to prevent any trouble, as compared to the non resistor, and their POTENTIAL for causing rouble.
