i've heard a lot of talk of a zr 900. though ive never heard it come out of the mouth of any dealer, just other guys claiming it. thanks

The 900 and a new 700 are the talk around here.

We think Cat will have 500,600,700,800,900 ZRs ??

They are going to have to change the names soon. zr500,600,700, etc. gets boring. The same for polaris and doo.

my buddy's dad owns the dealership in our town and he says he heard that rumor too, but isnt sure. suposedly a 900 twin and a 1200 triple is what he said.

That would be an incredible triple. I think right now that is a pretty big stretch for a rumor though. I can understand why they would maybe drop the 1000cc triple, but I hate to see them loose the thundercat name. It happened with the wildcat,cougar, jags. It just ain't the same

I agree, get some of the old names back. It will be the 30th aniversary of the El'Tigre. The one that started all this high performance trail stuff. El'Tigre 900 hmmmmm!!!

I heard from a reliable source, the same source that informed me of all the new changes to the 02' Sno-pro back in July of 01'. I heard, the thundercat 1000 triple is gone, there will be a mid-season release of the all new ZR 900 Twin. They are also going back to "names" of sleds, such as "Firecat" will be one. Also look for different hood and graphic schemes, such as the "American Flag" graphics and the "Canadian" and also a skull and crossbones graphic. Something to look for!
