If you order a new RX-1 this winter, let me know. I would like to keep track of you. I ordered mine last week, a black standard (I changed my mind, had originally decided on a red ER).We could at least compare notes as next season starts.

If you would, list the model and price paid. Just curious, have seen some darn good prices, then, some that seem a little steep. I think Yamaha has something great to offer the public here, hope to see a 600 (R6) version in the future. I'm sure the 1000 is awesome, but the 6 would be plenty for most I think.

The dealer offered some great packages, 2, 3 and 5 year warranties that included cover, extra carbides, xtra belt, and xtra plugs. I chose to just buy the sled, as the warranties are available at anytime during the 1 year standard warranty period for the same price. If we see problems I will spring for extra warranty.

I have heard prices from $7600 to $10,100 for these sleds with or without the warranty packages. I suspect some are true and some are not. I would suggest that you call around to the dealers you are willing to drive to, and get your best price. My dealer though, will not typically quote prices over the phone. It has been my experience that sled buyers always seem to try to squeeze the last nickel out of a deal. I prefer to trust and work with my local dealer, then he is there for me when I need service and have service questions. As well, they typically make things better in the accessories department, as I have spent so much money there. Thats why I didnt mention how much I spent. Work your best deal, I did.I also suspect there wont be a lot of room for dealing on this sled, as my dealer told me he will only get 4 next fall, so it will be a limited production sled, you either preseason order one, and be guarenteed you will get it, or take a chance you will get one next fall. Thanks for the comments, I now have several that have preseason ordered, and I will start an email list, so we can all stay in touch next fall.

Saw one on EBAY last week offered for $7800. I believe it was Phibbs Motorsports in NY offering it.

I paid $8,480.00 for a Blue ER. This price was out the door covering freight, setup and 6% Michigan sales tax.
