What happen to Rick Hissom's USSA Sprint sled?

Back to one of the original questions. Brian did run an Artic Cat jag 440 in F stock back in '90 or '91. I remember thinking it was odd that he ran that one, and a two-up long track Polaris Trail Indy at the time. Strange that I remember that, but not what I'm supposed to be doing instead of sitting...

track blistering?

The cause is a little too much heat. Could be from a lot of glare ice riding, or possibly the track is too tight. As long as the reinforcing fiberglass bars are not breaking it'll probably be ok for a while. It would be wise to budget for a new one though.

OT: Credit cards that earn "points"

There's more to know to this. All of us pay interest on the bill, and the merchants who accept them also pay 3% of the sale amount directly to the card issuers. In essence they get it now, and much more as they go on. I dream of the day I can take the cards and run them through the food processor(cr...

Cost comparison's!!

Roadrunner. 1.0Mbps right now (I just checked my connection speed, it is slower, but not much, during the day). I pay $44.95, which, is about equal to what I was paying for dial-up, that never got close to optimum available speed, if you were to include the cost of the second phone line. I will neve...

2-stroke on ALCOHOL ???

Oh, yes, it can be done. You need to seek out someone who races boats. They do use methanol in their outboards. In my opinion, though, they would be awfully hard to figure out in winter temperatures. The fuel is generally consumed at a rate of about double that of gasoline, probably even more in the...
