sudden loss of power... please help

we were riding in alot of loose powder and i was second back plus breaking trails so yes some snow dust could have got in. but it didn't appear obvious. and the temp light never came on.

i was cruising along fine... and after about 90 miles of riding, the engine just bogged. i hit an open field and punched it and at about 5000 rpm it just baaahhhhed. i changed the belt and no difference, although the one i put on was used but good. it seems as though maybe it's a clutching problem b...

MXZ 600 - darting real bad

sounds like maybe you have to much front carbide as opposed to rear studs! check the brochures on what's reccomended and maybe even go one size down on carbides.

big J, fyi, if the poo's you have are like the old ones i've had, removing the key doesn't help anyway cause in order to start it all you do is un-plug the wires from the back of the key switch and it's ready to fire.

you got to play with it. but mostly the rear spring preload will need to be changed when your wife rides with you.

Riding In New York

we were there last weekend and trail 6 heading toward boonville was about the best trail anywhere. i would reccomend staying off the tracks unless there has been about another foot of snow since then.

Slight Bog.

I see all the posts about carbs, but i'm still thinking belt. It's a much easier thing to try first and if it doesn't help, you just eliminated one possibility.
