48.7 mph!!!

Well, just got back from todays old dog run, and the TW ran great! I thought it was going to be a bad day though, as right at the start she fouled a plug! Had to run down to the corner store and grab a new one. Then about one mile into the ride, she puked nearly all of the ATF out of the overflow ag...

48.7 mph!!!

Ron, If I ever run across one of these Hydro-drive's for sale, I'll let you know. I looked up where you live, and it's a fair shake from me, but you never know. We are currently thinking of making a trip over to Pontiac, MI to watch an AMA Supercross and if so, we'll be going thru Canada. If it happ...

48.7 mph!!!

Ron, yeah thats what I was thinking of doing, building an air scoop for the radiator. As far as the hoses go, I believe I have them right, but you can't tell as far as the reservoir is concerned, as they both look the same. I might even fabricate a fan from one of my streetbikes to help cool the rad...

Mixing ratios

My guess would be that they just rounded up from 2.6 oz to arrive at 3 oz., because lets face it, how many of us are going to measure out 2.6 oz of oil!!! Maniac:B

48.7 mph!!!

Yeah, thanks Ron. I too, think it's worth at least a buck!:B And yes, I had originally put the converter hoses on as I had found them, and yes, they were backwards according to the manual. So after correcting them, I thought my converter issues would be solved, but nope! On my next trial run, I'll j...

Yamaha prestige

Amazing but true, one U.S. Dollar!!! And I'll post some photo's of the beast soon enough, but for now you can trust me when I say it is in Very Good Condition. Just needs a windshield is all. I've been working on the shifting mechanism, as it has a tendency to jump out of gear sometimes. Upon lookin...

Ron, You were right on the money! One $15.00 carb kit later, and she runs like a top! Now that I've got this sled working to my satisfaction, I'll let you in on a secret. I bought this thing on ebay just the other day, and guess what the winning bid of mine was. Your not going to believe this, but, ...

Ron, I appreciate it. I was just able to find a manual on ebay, which should be here next week, so maybe I won't need to bother you to much afterall! Then, just today, I go over to one of our local dealers and just asked around alittle. Guess what. He had not one, but TWO belts lying around!!! Both ...

Oils Through the Ages

Snofreak, I understand your theory on the jetting issue, but actually, they had to re-jet each time they changed the oil ratio because they knew exactly what you said, so this was not the cause of the increase in power, but in fact was like I said, "more oil, more power". Maniac:B
