Tippy '01 Pantera

Hmmm ... Never had that tipping problem. I have a 2000 Pantera 1000 and it is stable as any sled out there. Maybe the extra weight of that 1000CC engine helps. ALTHOUGH .... I have spent a lot of time learning how the suspension adjustments work. I can now set it up for 1-up or 2-up riding in baout ...

Anyone ride in Az?

I used to live in Tucson. Lots of riding up near Flagstaff. Some in the Mountains North East of Tucson (Mt Lemmon area).

Best was in the Northeast corner of the state. Used to go for 2 weeks every year.

Big 4 overproduction

We've had a couple of dealers who used to carry all 4 brands. But as time went on and the demands of the factories to sell more and more sleds became greater, they have droped one, two or even 3 brands. It's not unusual now to see a dealer with only one or two brands. The closest dealer to me droppe...

ZR 900 or RX-1 Warrior

Straightliner ... read the post again ... it said ... "The RX-1 is indeed a unique sled, and it is probably not fair to compare it to the ZR 900, REV 800, and Pro-X 800. All of which will smoke an RX-1 in anything shorter than a 1-2 mile Lake Race." ... notice it said "Anything shorter than an 1-2 m...

ZR 900 or RX-1 Warrior

LMFAO ... Warrior ... Ha ... Spoken like a true Yamaha fanatic, Ignoring things like weight, Horsepower, Handling, Skid, etc. Maybe adding the 136" skid will help the traction a bit, as well as increasing the footprint might .... I say, Might, help that awful inside ski lift, but overall, the sled i...

ZR 900 or RX-1 Warrior

Well ... the ZR 900 weighs approx 80-100lbs less ... and develops more horsepower. Even filled with all fluids (The ZR holds more fuel) the difference in weight is still the same. If you are concerned with electric start and reverse, then buy a 2003 leftover and have them put on. Don't get me wrong ...

This Sled Kicks Ass (From Another Forum)

It's amazing how fast these RX-1's are here on the Trash Boards ... but out on the trails/Tracks they are at best mediocre performers. Even the ones that now have 2000+ miles.
