What is a personal attack?

This post is for some of you, but not others. It contains a list of what constitute personal attacks and what don't because there are a few of you who seem to be very, very confused on the matter. To make this fun for everyone, I have formed a little Personal Attack Quiz! Wheeeee. OK, here we go. 1....

Does racing effect the consumers sleds?

History of the Electric Starter The electric starter or self-starter was invented by Charles F. Kettering. It is often thought of as an invention of convenience, but it was also one of safety. In fact, the safety issue was the main reason that Kettering developed the device. Before the invention of ...

Does racing effect the consumers sleds?

Skunk, reread my post. I said "racing does not design" Racers might design, but you're arguing semantics. Kirk designed a lot of trick features that are now found on Cat sleds, and many of them came from the rigors of racing. But racing itself doesn't do any design, a person (engineers) need to put ...

Does racing effect the consumers sleds?

First, let me say that I can't believe I've spent the better part of a day arguing with you guys! Two things. 1. Engineers design. Racing does not. However, racing pushes engineers to design new, better ways to do things. Tons of innovations have come from racing, and not just on snowmobiles. Look a...

Boo Hoo Hoo..... Racings not fair.....

High engine and extra weight are definitely a factor, too, Skunk. But, it is going to be possible to lighten the RX-1. I hear that Mountain Performance has a Stage 4 lightweight kit that can take 100 pounds off the RX-1. We'll sure see. I want to try to lighten up our RX-1 as much as possible this w...

Boo Hoo Hoo..... Racings not fair.....

I think there is some flex going on in that chassis. No matter what we did to the suspension, we got a lot of inside ski lift. Yamaha has recalibrated the suspension since then, and I haven't ridden is since, but there might be something going on in the chassis or the suspension geometry that is eff...

Boo Hoo Hoo..... Racings not fair.....

Drifter, I wasn't referring your Predator post. It was pretty thought out, in fact, which is a real rarity for you! LOL You're right about racing results, they don't matter for SOTY. But that doesn't stop the people from wanting to see the RX-1 on the track, even if it's not racing Snocross! I think...

Boo Hoo Hoo..... Racings not fair.....

Maxi,

I'm with you. A lot of these threads could be quite interesting if they didn't suffer from "scope creep" and venture into such brand-biased bash sessions.

I thought we had some good dialouge going.

BTW, do you think Kowalski will run an RX-1 if he is approached by Yamaha?

Anybody Stud Their REV Yet?

Yeah, I am a bit cranky. It's supposed to be 48 flippin degrees here today. It was so cold in October, I figured we would get some snow this season, but so far it looks like another bust.

I'm pissed, and I cant believe nobody has studded a REV yet!
