New ski doo secondary

as far as I know x-8, if ya wanna use that reverse, then yer just gonna have to live with it. There's really not much adjustment on the clutch other than the compression setting, and of course you know there is no torsional setting. I guess it's the trade off for a lightweight reverse package??? I'v...

Newberry, MI... How many security precautions do you need to take?

shut off yer gas and take off the plug wires...if anybody has balls enough to look under the hood in the middle of a parking lot at night and hook up the plug wires...he'll definately leave it lay along side the road after 500' and it runs out of gas!!!!!!!

SkiDoo Triple/Triple Crank Failures

Doo won't do it for free...they didn't even do mine for free under warranty. Said it was "lack of maintanance"??? NOT all triples were effected, you can tell externally if your case has a lube hole. AND if you drill your own hole, make sure and angle it so it drips right on the side of the outer bea...

Help Mod My F-III

since you're getting the crankwork done, why not put the thicker base gaskets in and have the head cut back down...call the crank shop for these, it's just like raising the ports, only alot cheaper, the head cuts are reletively inexpensive too.

Feedback on ZR 800s

Finally got good enough snow to do some serious ditchbanging with the ZR800 Cross Country. Some of the huge driveways that made you say "OH $#!+" on other sleds this one just eats them up. It's handling great, keeping the skis on the ground even under hard acceleration over the big whoops....

Spark Plugs and Triples

The manufacturer recomended plug for your sled is the BR10ES...Almost everybody I know runs BR9ES though because of the sparkplug fouling you describe. It's merely the engine loading up. As for the PTO bearing, YES, they do go out on the PRE 98 Mach 1s and all the 600 F-IIIs. There is no lubrication...
