Rupp Magnum-Reed Valve MOD III

Here's the pix of the reed valve cylinders from my 73 Rupp Magnum...As you may know, these were piston port engines. Somebody has taken the time to modify these to reed valve. The sled was bought in North Central Pennsylvania and the hood bears the race graphics "Rishell's Sales and Service - Driver...

Blown Stator, again

Did you say before you got your new stuff from CDIbox.com? Did you contact Scott to see what he thought? Do you have a voltage regulator on your sled?

Rupp Treasure Found~Magnum Racer??

I'll get pix of the cylinders today, I'm heading out to the shop later... Not really a "Rupp Guy", I do have a few Magnums in the herd though! Even though it's not a Magnum, it looks like it's in good shape and with a track and suspension and slap an engine in that thing, it'll look really cool. I'd...

Rupp Treasure Found~Magnum Racer??

Don't be so quick to judge as looks can fool, AHood. The lack of the the guage mounting plate over the handlebars, the lack of the correct Magnum handlebars and the presence of the Amber light in the bumper lead me to believe this is a Nitro with a Magnum hood slapped on it...The main give-away thou...

god bless old people

could be, they don't look quite as round...There's chrome Polaris skis on my Cat they're leaning against, they are exactly the same stamp as those...I wonder if they had a different application? Being so lightweight, I doubt the rib had much of a reinforcing effect being ran all the way down. ????? ...

god bless old people

Nice find on a really hard to find set of skis! Isn't it amazing how EXTREMELY lightweight those skis are? I have a NOS pair, I'm posting a pic because they vary slightly from yours...notice how the rib runs all the way down the ski on this set, it stops on yours after the bend....weird that they wo...

SOO I-500

Anybody plan on going to the Soo to watch the 500 and bring out some oldies for the "Memories at the Mile" show? I might knock the dust off one of the Rupps and show up if there's gonna be some other vintage nuts there.

Drag Race Weight Transfer

Packed snow races? Keep your engagement RPM down. If you have a dyno sheet, you'll want to engage at the lowest RPM you can, but you still want to be near the beginning of the torque curve. I'd run as steep of helix as you can pull, get that baby to shift out and get in front of the other guy as muc...
