2003 Iron Dog

Do they have to race sleds that are current year production models? Last year there were F5's in the race and we all know they haven't come out yet. If they can race a "future" sled, I would bet Doo has a 700 in the REV chassis. Yamaha will race the Viper. There is no one Man enough to mustle around...

F7 weight

Pryde, the RX-1 will be closer to 700 than 500.
I could gain 200 pounds, buy a firecat and still be lighter than a RX-1. Well, not quite, but close. lol

barr, the tank is the same size as on the snopro, the other brake location adds very little weight (just a fastener or two). The noticeable weight will be added with the new heat exchanger and the exhaust supports, but regardless, it has been communicated by one of the design engineers that it would...

zr600 won't sell? First I heard that. Do you know how many people squaked because the zr600 was eliminated and there was not another 600 to take its place? The zr600 sold and sold very well. They killed it because they are coming out with a new one probably midseason and rather than piss off people ...

The predecessor for the F7 WOULD NOT be the zr800! If that were the case, they would no longer offer the zr800 since the F7 is the SUCCESSOR.
The F5 replaces the zr500. 500cc ZR, 500cc Firecat!? Huh, novel idea.

New Polaris Quad?

Rotax, can I ask which trail(s) you are referring to? I can think of a couple trails near Brainerd (actually Fort Ripley to be exact) that are ATV trails AND snowmobile trails therefore you could have them competing for trail time. They are short distances that they are shared, but they definitely a...

Partial information is when you say 507lbs, yet you don't state what sled that is referring too. The weight for the '00 zr700 (which incidentally was the last year of the 700) was listed as 499. If you want to assume the F7 is replacing this sled since it hasn't been there for two seasons go ahead. ...

New Polaris Quad?

I wouldn't say the ride on the Pol's are better. I have ridden both and I think they are very close. I personally like the AC independent better for the the choppy stuff I rode in, but the Pol seemed more supple for the rollers. Toss up! If you compare 500 to 500 they are very close in every categor...

Xtreme, there you go with only PARTIAL facts again!
507 is the weight of the 800 and 900.
487 is roughly what the 600 weighed so deduct it from that. Voila! 437
Huh, I DO use math later in life!
