Where were they?

With so much hype around the Vipers, I had the opportunity to ride with 3 Vipers, 2 SRXs, another Cat 800, 2 600 Cats, and 2 Polaris 600 Pro Xs. Down the road the Vipers were way back with the ZR600s, but surprisingly the ProXs were holding their own down the twisty road. On the bumpy trail me and m...

Nos kits

Benefits.....lotsa power!!!!! lots Downfalls....For trail use it is easy to nuke an engine, one misfire and you'll melt the piston right down the rod and weld the crank together! The biggest downfall is the stress it puts on the drive train, the engines usually hold up, expeciall big twins, a Viper?...

ZR 800 peak engine rpm performance

we got 141.6 at 7500 with a half horse drop at 74 and 76. Falls off SHARP after 7600. These figures are from a warmed up engine. If you're running a drag race with a cold pipe, load the engine a touch more to bring it down around 7200 or 7300.

Ski Pressure on 01 MXZ800?

to adjust the limiter strap, lift the rear of the sled off the ground, a correctly adjusted strap will let the front of the track hit the ground one inch before the rear of the skid will touch. Then adjust the spring preload until you get your desired ski pressure.......then fine tune from there

Should I need to Re-jet?

Wiseco makes a good piston, more times than not they are lighter than stock and will provide a quicker rev, there's usually no horsepower gain....but the OEM pistons will provide better longevity, the manufacturer tested these pistons in all conditions to provide the longest lasting design possible....

Should I need to Re-jet?

Usually putting in reeds will cause you to jet 1/2 jet size richer...so if you're right on the money now, you'll need to go up 1, if you're a touch fat you should be OK with stock jetting. The Wisecos sometimes give a touch more compression and require a jet change, but it will tell you in the direc...
