One good reason to find a good dealer.....

We don't know. Just about every week toward the end of the season last year, the headlight would blow and we'd need to put in a new one if we were going to ride at night.

One good reason to find a good dealer.....

Picked up my bro's 97 XC 440 today after being in the dealer for a month removing the dial-adjust shock system and replacing with a new standard fox shock. However, we told them the headlight would continuously burn out, so we told the guy to check the wiring and voltage regulator. He said okay........

Studs and Snowcross

No offense but.....Rubber studs are also known as the lugs on your track. I have seen plastic studs, I can't remember who made them, but one brand went out of business because they broke too much and didn't do squat on ice.

Polaris Warranty BS!!

The 2nd year warranty you are talking about is an extended engine service contract. So it will not cover everything on your sled, just the engine. But I do not understand that they classify the VES valves as an "engine accessory". Your sled can't run without it, so it is a vital piece of your engine...

Polaris Warranty BS!!

One more thing I nearly forgot......CLEAN YOUR VES VALVES!!!! Clean them EVERY 500 miles or so. They will build up carbon very fast, especially on the '01s because of the oil pump being set to pump too much oil. '02s can use cleaning at further mileage intervals.

Rear-Suspension sag

YEAH RIGHT SHOCKS DON'T CONTROL RIDE HEIGHT/SAG!!!! I had a bad Indy Select shock in my Indy 500 3 years ago (a 1996 model). I took it and had a FOX shock put in and the ride height in the rear rose up about 2 inches! The dealer didn't do anything with the springs!!!!!!!

Polaris Warranty BS!!

About the "hesitation".. I have an '02 500 X and it does not have any hesistation whatsoever. I can just tap the throttle and it pulls like a alcohol fueled funny car!!!! Check the basic stuff like jetting, if the jets are right for your altitude and temperature, check the clutches. Adjust the cam o...
