A PROBLEM...

OK, when it bogged down and then ran good for a minute, did you attempt to restart immediately? If yes did it feel harder to pull or not pull at all? With the airbox loose it's possible you experienced a cold seize.I would definitely do a good compression test to check for strong and [ul]equal[/ul]...

coolant

Get the front end about a foot off the ground and let it bleed out real well first. Then see if you still have a problem. I would think that if you blew a gasket that you'd be losing coolant and refilling it all the time. You could do a pressure test to check on the gaskets. Cost isn't too bad to do ...

Geeees it;s freakin cold.

Oh how that brings back the memories. Back when I had my TX, I was just thrilled to have a sled and didn't care about the useful properties of a 4 inch high piece of plastic. Golly I sure miss that old antique.

QUIT SMOKIN TODAY

You poor ba stard, I gave it up 6 years and 75 pounds ago, started for a few months last spring, and hope to god I have it beat for good now. It isn't easy at all, and no matter how much the smell eventually bothers you, you never lose that craving. I'd love one right now.
Good luck.

A PROBLEM...

It would help to include make and model but here's what I think. You said that it died when you gave it a little gas. Check to see if you have spark. If you don't have spark, and assuming that it died when you cracked the throttle open, my guess would be a stuck, or failed, throttle position switch. ...

SCUM BAG DEER KILLERS

Here's another thought for us to ponder. I am positive, as a veteran of three car/deer accidents, that the nations insurance companies have no small part in the increase of permits. It has to be a huge part of their payouts every year.
