track clips

You don't need an impact wrench on the ski doo track clip. They use a hand tool that kind of looks like a huge nut cracker to squeeze the clip together.

Nascar Trash

Well said kenlacy. Before I get to my comment, on the track quality post, I would like to add a small comment on the NASCAR fan reference. The average person who enjoys taking in the weekend events is no longer the "trailer trash, married to my first cousin and livin' on welfare, backwoods moron of...

WTF !?!?!?!?!

COOOOOOOL!! Probably wouldn't even take 3 hours to do the changeover. Replace spindles with ski setups probably a half hour, tops. and the rear can't be that invlved. Remove driveshaft and replace track and suspension could be done pretty quick too.Just wonder how involved the atv rear susp. is. That...

top end bog ???

Hey again, I just had an idea, is it possible your secondary clutch spring broke or came out of the hole it's supposed to be in?Or possibly broken primary spring? This would explain being able to get to 7000rpm and then bogging as the clutches shift up too quickly and cannot pull anymore. I would pro...

what to do

Just a little note on your boring out idea. The only boring on stock cylinders should be to straighten them out-not to increase displacement by a huge amount. For that you would go to sleeving the cylinder and bigger pistons, etc. In other words, increasing the cc isn't cheap and a really heavily mod...

clutch belt ???

Here is a simple trick for pulling the belt off fairly easily, assuming the secondary is free enough.(meaning not rusted tight) After you make sure your ignition is disabled and cover is off, you simply use one hand to hold the brake lever, grasp the belt close to the primary with the other and pull f...

do you think it is totaly worth it

No comparison-sleds. Of course the up and down stuff isn't my cup of beer. Ovals is much easier on my mind, and body, even though I don't have to worry about any of it anymore.
