Rupp Magnum-Reed Valve MOD III

No, this is just a sled I'm restoring to "as raced" condition. We have a few nice original 73s and this one I really like because of the reed valves. As much as I would love to run the World Championship class at Eagle River...My plans now are to build a liquid Bonbardier. I'd like to build a 76 Sno...

1971 EXT 290 NOS clutch available for sale/trade

a guy in Minnesota has blanks Paul James pauljames230@msn.com 763-245-0955 He says he also has some factory patterns if you have the P/N. Original P/N for your Cat is 0146-341. I don't have the ramp number, but you probably know that anyway. Along with the weight set, which is still a...

Any Rules of Thumb.......

Chances are if you're riding too far down in the secondary, then the belt is also too long because of it...If you go to a 1 3/8" You're gonna bring it up to ride out a bit and then shim it so it won't pull the belt too tight. Are you sure all the shims are out of the secondary now? Maybee it will cl...

Rupp Magnum-Reed Valve MOD III

As far as the exhaust port width...I'm going to make sure I don't have to raise it to achieve enough blow down time before I widen it. If I widen it, then have to raise it, I may end up with too much port area, not too mention, I'd like to keep it wide in the mean area, as opposed to too high or low...

Rupp Magnum-Reed Valve MOD III

for now, I'm not raising the exhaust port...UNLESS, when I enter in the pipe dimensions it doesn't match the exhaust port height. I'm gonna try using this formula using a stock dyno sheet as the peak RPM and solve for the exhaust duration (Eo) Lt = (Eo x Vs) / N Tuned length=(exhaust durationXwavesp...

cat drivers at the soo 500

Seems like Cat runs strong and then takes a crap. I thought for sure we had it in '03 when Cat jumped out on top, only to blow a track on the way to an almost certain win.......

Rupp Magnum-Reed Valve MOD III

That's why I need to get it together and dyno it. They do seem small but rules didn't allow welding, I don't believe. The gain may be surprising with the added intake duration. Just from guessing, I'd say around 70 degrees would be added. And not to mention, crank pressurization would take place mor...

i have the rarest sled in the world

Rare is a relative term. Sure the 81 SRX is rare compared to a 79 Exciter. But it's not rare at all Compared to a 75 PDC Yamaha. TNT340Rider pretty much said it, some of the 74 and 75 SnoPros are the rarest beasts around. I have a 74 Cat SnoPro 650, they made 4 of 'em, only 3 known left...Have a 72 ...
