The '04 Polaris?

That would be nice if Polaris bought Redline and produced them at a reasonable price.

Ed, did you go to the link and look over this guy's site? He says that the "heat cycle" method is a myth. Scroll down and check it out.

I'm not arguing with ya, just wondering what your thoughts are.

Ken, I was not saying your wrong about sled engines. I was just saying that the guy on the link was kind of grouping all engines together, and I was just stating that car and truck engines don't have ball bearings or roller bearings for crank engines, that's all. This is very interesting to me, thou...

Powerbands?

No, you guys are all wrong. It's the thing on the back of Yamaha's that the rider cranks up real tight, and that's what makes them go. So only Yamaha's have powerbands. LOL

Ken, this guy lumped all 4 stroke engines into 1 category. Crank bearings in a vehicle are not ball bearings.

Yamaha Racing Post

Might as well give it up. It's a wasted cause with these guys.

...and No Bandit, I'm not wrong. Go to the races, read some good magazine articles, and get an education.

Yamaha Racing Post

MM, don't put words in peoples mouth. What's with calling us "stooges" that don't think Yamaha can build a strong 440? Where did you see that posted? I said before, I believe they could and I trash them because they DON'T, not because they can't. BTW, it's pretty easy to make a 600 out of a 440 engi...

Break in

Ken, bearings don't need to be broken in?? I don't know about that statement. We're not talking about timken bearings here, or ball bearings, we're talking about engine bearings like the rod and crank bearings. I'd feel much better breaking any motor in the way ALL engine manufacturers suggest. But ...

I got to the part that said "The break-in process is only about the rings" and that's where I checked out. What an ass.

Did this guy ever hear of bearings, bushings, etc? There are a lot of moving parts in an engine, not just rings.
