The man had another great weekend racing and seems to amaze me more each time I see this fellow race. In the last year and half the guy has run as good as anyone, and at the age of 54 to me he seems to be maybe better than he ever was before. He ran 15 hard laps against the very best this past weekend and came out on top. In my eyes he should be the snowweek racer of the year, not just put in the top ten. He's good for the sport and I hope he keeps racing for many more years to come. Great job Jocko you still have the burning desire to win, and I think you've proven some people wrong with them thinking you were washed up. If Blair Morgan comes out and wins the X-games in another 24 years I'll brag him up too!!

Unfortunately SW will bow down to Blair and his made for TV gold medals. Ovals will not get there due here. JV deserves it this year for sure.

Jacques is like a fine wine - he gets better with age! I agree that Jacques should be ROY. He is fearless on the track and has proven that he can run with the best of them. Jacko - You are #1

I remember watching Jacques race in 1974 with his brother Gilles on Alouettes. I was only 11 at the time. Now I am 44 and he is still winning. WOW. He has raced against all of the Hall of Fame oval racers. The list of racers that have came & went in that time frame is very long. Nobody is even close to being in Jacques league!

Never had the chance to watch them, back then, but sure followed what happened in all the mags and the old, Snowmobile Week.

I couldn't believe it when I was looking at the names of the past Canadian Champions on the trophy in Beausejour. Jacques first won that race in 1974. That was 32 years ago! That's increadible.

He was unbelievable in the final. He won by almost a 1/2 lap. It was awesome to see him run down the straight-away in front of the grandstands, waving the checkered flag like a matador.

Jim Schmit also showed that he is still one of the best. Looked like Jimmy was the only guy who might have a chance at catching Jacques. Jimmy was right with him for a few laps but Jacques has too much in the end. Jimmy's a real class act too.

It would be a shame if Jacques was not named Snowweek's ROY for 2006.

Way to go Jacques!
