Racer/Machine Of The Decade

Postby SnowmobileNews Moderator » December 11th, 2009, 10:39 am

I'm working on a series of stories that will be posted to our web sites in the next couple weeks, and I'm looking for nomineeds on two important questions:

For the decade of 2000-09, who is the RACER OF THE DECADE for all snowmobile racing, and what is the MACHINE OF THE DECADE? Nominees anyone?

PJ Wandersheid won 3 World Championships on an Arctic Cat Sno-Pro. Hard to argue with that.

If we were talking about the decade of the 90's I would agree with you 100%

Yeah Mike, He won in 99 and 2000 as far as the WC is concerned, so he was in the hunt. Overall record once into 2001 was not like the late 80's early 90's when he dominated 56 Hp Sprint, Champ, F-III and Mod II and Mod III.
Mike, brother Steve, and Useldinger, along with Herzig and Sturgeon were all a force to be reckoned with. Dinger's F-III stuff built by Hedlund was fast, evil, but very fast.

Guess your right, I'm one decade out of sync.

P.J. unless flyen Brian wins 3 in a row this year, that will be the first time that has been done in narly 50 years of running.

The race machine would be if you are talking oval sleds, Hooper, beause P.J. Wanderschied, Lary Day, and Gary Moyle, all won World Championships on his equipment.

Consomer sled would be the Ski Doo Rev

Why don't you add one called the Iron Man of snowmobile racing, that could only be one person #96
