Champ Racing(Time For A Change)

As far as vintage we are racing my 1978 IFS Skidoo SS at Eagle This year.

My 1978 is faster out the corner than a champ,
44mil carbs, less restrictions, more HP. Lots of FUN to drive! That's why we are going.

As far as cost, it's just as much as Champ to be competitive. WAHL suspension, 106 track etc.

and Yep lots of entries, but my corp sponsors want nothing to do with it!
That weekend is outa my pocket.

It's really shiny and all Black and Chrome, but It's 1978!!

So you guys are right it's a Super Fun Class and a blast to drive, but don't try and build a business model off of it!

Motowrecker,

Looks sharp!

Not trying to be a smart ass, but did you put exchangers in the sled?
Or do you still have to mount a RAD?

A good debate is fine - but lets keep the bashing out of it and be professional.

Maybe you should listen to yourself....

I am having a difficult time putting this post in words. I feel the need to put out a BOLD warning but I don't want to slam a potentially "new" concept to snowmobile racing. BE WARNED: I sat at the table and was asked to invest in a sure thing, "WSA". INVEST was what was said. We have this thing figured out. It had backers, it had racers, it had fans, it was going to rule the snowmobile world. I was one of the few who walked away with what was asked in dollars to invest. How did I get so lucky? I didn't invest. I kept "the money" in the place it needed to be. It's funny $10,000 was the amount of the investment possiblity. My point is, be very careful. This could be the answer to making snowmobile racing as big as it ever has been. But, it could also make just a few people some good money for a short time.
This is just the view of one who has been around the block a few times.
I don't want to see anyone get hurt. On either side.
Merry Christmas to all.

shawn, out of curiosity, when you were putting this program together, did you ever consider going with a twin tracker that was configured differently like one you sit IN with a roll cage as opposed what you have now?
