Don't get me wrong, I think your concept is cool.

I am just trying to sell the product we have now.[/quote]

Richard
Congradulations on your success on your series

You should be proud of what you have done and are doing for the sport.
I think the new concept will take time to evolve and is in no way meant to replace what is running now for sure. Its an attempt to draw old and "NEW Blood" into the sport and anyway we can do that is a positive for sure.

The Current Champ Series is a very well run, Professional appearing enity, and we need to still support that 110% with all we can do, Including the New TLR Events, and try to schedule events that do not interfear/cconflict with other Major events. Thats a big endeavor as there are many Champ sleds both Out East/ North/Midwest/West. A series that will allow those that can travel,to appear in different venues. is always good for Potential Sponsor appeal for sure.. Good Luck with your meetings and hope you can land what your after !!

Dave sent me these pics on Friday - sorry for the delay getting them up.
It sounds like he may have some more tommorrow.

Recently I was asked to play in a golf tournament.

At first I said, "Naw, I haven't been playing that well."

Then they said to me, "Come on, it's for handicapped and blind kids."

Then I thought...

Chit, I could win this!

I love this idea, and the sled, but does anyone else feal a little uneasy about having the clutches right next to your right leg?

Then again sprint cars have a drive shaft right under there nuts.

I think the concept is good. But as far as Sponsorship and TV time unless your targeted group know about and actually buy the machines then what are your Sponsors paying for. My post was targeted at getting the information out about the product (Outlaw 600). Who are your targeted buyers going to be, how are you going to reach those targeted buyers? I see the success or failure of this being able to get the information out and build excitement to your targeted buyers/users. If you can get a Sponsor to help with those costs that would be really good.

That's ok by me if you feel I am all wrong in the Marketing, makes no difference to me.

Sponsors should really be referred to as Advertisers.

They are paying for advertising. They could really care less about our machines or our sport to be quite frank.

GEICO doesn't sell bowling balls, and BUDWEISER doesn't sell Nascars.
They are just advertising to the fans of the sport that tune in.

In our sports case we should be approaching advertisers that have products that are oriented towards a similar demographic of people who like Motorsports.

The news of this new sled is going to spread like stink on a pig farm, you just watch how many fans show up to watch this new sled, this thing is going to far exceed Johns expectations.
Put some names like Villeneuve, Wahl, Dimmerman, Wanderschield, Moyel, Hooper, Elsner, Donahue, Thorsen, Haulings, Decker, Loritz, Schmit in one and see how many people buy one, If Jacques Villeneuve races one I guarentee I will buy one, lineing up at E.R. with the #96 beside me has allways been a dream, and if he ever starts racing one I will to, and I know I am not alone.
