I have been tossing around ideas about how to use this 1st Outlaw sled to best promote ice oval racing.
I left it with Todd A.:S to be displayed at the Derby track and Gary Moyle will be bringing it to the snowmobile hall of fame for their cookout/roundup memorial weekend.
I know Gary is planning to bring it to Haydays and Grantsburg and possibly a couple other events but if Merv or any others would like to have it for promotional purposes at a time when it's not already spoken for you could email Gary at to make arrangements to pick it up and bring it back.
The sled is in a new 16 ft enclosed trailer that will have all the Outlaw 600 sponsors on it so all you would need is a pickup or suv with a 2" ball.
Eastern guys should also contact Tony Petennelli to see when his will be finished and available, it's looking good.
When the race season begins I am considering allowing each promoter to pick a driver for this sled at their event, this driver could be a celebrity, politician, stock car racer or anyone else that they feel would help bring people to their event.
I am thinking that Terry or Dave Wahl in my sled would attract some attention for the first race in Beasejour {unless they already have their own}:W John H.

Danica would be a great choice or maybe Lady Gaga or Angelina Jolie or maybe a porn queen;)
Actually if anyone has connections to any celebrity that would be interested in hopping in one of these Outlaw sleds it would really help draw media attention and spectators.
Local stock car drivers, politicians and dj's are usually easier to coax into something like this BUT we can dream a little!:B

I wonder if we could convince JV to strap himself into one of these?
The sliding suits his style of driving and i'm sure he would be impossible to beat with his car experience plus the fact that these machines will not reqiuire the youthful endurance to go the distance.

Just sent an e-mail to Tony Stewart aprising him of the outlaw 600 program and left an open invatation to BJ and ER. Will let you know if any thing comes of it. Have tried other sites like Craven and Jr but could not get through the maze set up. If any of you other racers or race inthusiast (PIP) have some spare time on your hands the feel free to do the same. The absolute worst they can do is say no or just not answer you. If we don't ask shame on us, if they don't answer then shame on them. Getting older and nastier all the time.

Stevie Arpin, working his way up in the NASCAR racing world.
We all now he has the personality, he's a likable kid, he's a promoter, loves sleds, knows how our game is played as he raced with many of us on the ice ovals a few years back.
I think he would love a chance to put the OUTLAW thru its paces, he'd probably feel right at home in it as its similar to the dirt modifieds he's driven since age 14.
I'd love to see Stevie throwing the OUTLAW sideways into the big Beausejour corners, or any track for that matter...

Wheels are spin'in and I'm look'n for traction...hmmm.
