1990 twin-track Formula 1 racer

We recently purchased this Ski-doo 340cc twin-track racer primarily as a restoration project. Despite its obvious track appeal, there's few places it could run and after all it's 20+ years old!
We're hoping to have it completed for Beausejour 50th anniversary next year.

It's serial number 004 built in Oct 1989

Would anyone know who to contact in order to determine WHO's sled that was for the 1989-90 season? Directly to Valcourt I guess??

We want to fully restore it and try to put it "right" with the original paint scheme, numbering etc etc

(also I don't think the pipes are "right" can anyone confirm?)

Is there a "bible" for these TT sleds available somewhere??

Thanks
WOT

You might get lucky and find the race drivers # on some components like cylinders , rv cover or engine ... If you do find any #s then it would be likely we could tell you whos sled it was.. Seeing as how it has the 004 last numbers for the vin indicates it was probably a factory backed racer like JV or Vessairs or Deckers or possibly Dale Loritz or Goodwins...mike

I saw area code 715 on the add, if your from N.Wi. I would look around Eagle River, Between the two museams, talk to Tom Anderson at SHOF and stop over at the track, one of the Deckers might reconize it

I found when I had my old Champ Sled, that SKIDOO wrote the last name of the driver on the back side of the Serial number plate.

Perhaps if it's still there drill the rivets out and have a look.

Is it maybe a old AAEN sled? Maybe Darcey Ewings?
