For those of you not on Facebook, here is Amanda's post from 3 hours ago:

Amanda Royposted toCurtis Boivin Racing # 19B
HE OPENED HIS EYES! Curtis's has been doing very well, all the preliminary tests have been positive. He has responses to pain, when pinched on all four limbs, he responded. He can move his arm, very unco-ordinated movements cause of the sedation. He is still heavily sedated, so he isn't aware of surroundings or able to respond to us yet, but one day at a time. He's more awake today, and breathing on his own. The doctors said "HE'S ALIVE".

GREAT JOB Curtis!!! I know I got my present early because of this and even though it was a long wait, it was well worth it. Keep going, we're all pulling for you!

How Awesome! The Lacy Family will be praying for the Boivin's!

I lost my brother in a car accident at Curtis' age (almost 20 years ago now). Not a scratch on him but he hit his head. He was in a coma for a few days and the docs said it was time - he was able to donate many organs and change a lot of other peoples lives. I feared this would be the same here and I am truly sitting here in awe!

I only really spoke with Curtis once, in the Fontaine's trailer just an hour or so before the fated race - he was helping me mix slide lube for Trevors final in the Outlaw sled - an image that I would normally foget is now etched in my memory.

May God Bless all of you!
Recently I was asked to play in a golf tournament.

At first I said, "Naw, I haven't been playing that well."

Then they said to me, "Come on, it's for handicapped and blind kids."

Then I thought...

Chit, I could win this!
